Jake Hewlett Launches Own Team for 2026 Civic Cup
Jake Hewlett will return to the Civic Cup for the 2026 season, marking an exciting new chapter as he launches his self run team, Jake Hewlett Racing. With Main Sponsors, Mill Street Motors and Europa Crash Centre full support!
Following an impressive debut campaign in 2025, where Jake secured five podium finishes and 6th place overall in the championship standings, the move into season two represents a major step forward both on and off the circuit.
For 2026, Jake will compete in an EP3 Civic under the Jake Hewlett Racing banner, taking full responsibility for both the driving and team operation as he builds his own independent programme within what is shaping up to be the largest Civic Cup grid in championship history.
The off season has been focused on preparation, development, and refining the car ahead of the opening round. Every test session has provided valuable data, allowing the team to learn more about the EP3 package and continue improving performance as the new season approaches.
With Brands Hatch opening the season over Easter weekend, the venue provides a strong start point. It was one of Jake’s most successful circuits in 2025, delivering three of his five podium finishes, and the team heads into the opener confident in both car and driver.
Speaking ahead of the season, Jake said:
“Coming back for a second season in the Civic Cup is a really exciting step, especially now doing it under my own team with Jake Hewlett Racing.
Last year taught me a huge amount and gave me a strong foundation in the championship. We were consistently fighting near the front and picking up podiums, so the aim now is to build on that.
Running the team as well as driving adds a whole new challenge, but it’s something I’m really looking forward to. We’ve worked hard over the winter on the car, sorted the issues we wanted to address, and made sure we’re in the best place possible heading into Brands Hatch.
The target is simple keep moving forward, stay competitive, and push for more podium finishes throughout the season.”
With the 2026 Civic Cup field set to be the biggest yet, the level of competition is expected to be higher than ever, making Jake Hewlett Racing’s entry one of the most exciting storylines heading into the new season.
The focus now turns to Brands Hatch, where the team begins its first campaign as an independent outfit with clear momentum and plenty of ambition.
