Jake Hewlett has built a reputation as a highly accomplished and versatile driver, with success spanning both elite sim racing and real-world circuit competition.

His competitive foundations were established in sim racing, where between 2016 and 2018 he recorded over 289 race wins across major platforms and championships. Highlights from this period include victories in the Production Car Challenge, Grand Touring Cup, Bathurst 1000 V8 Supercar, NEO GTE Endurance Series, McLaren WFGS 24 Hours of Le Mans, and the Tegiwa BMW M8 Championship. He also secured runner-up finishes in the Mazda MRT24 Championship and the Simply Race 24 Hours of Suzuka, while qualifying for several top-level international series including the World GT Pro Series, Porsche Cup, and VRS GT World Championship.

Jake’s transition into real-world motorsport was immediate and impressive. In 2021, he claimed victory in a round of Time Attack at Brands Hatch, laying the groundwork for what would become a standout racing career. The following year, he built his first race car to compete in the Type R Trophy Championship, where he delivered an exceptional rookie season. After taking a podium in his debut race at Croft, Jake went on to secure multiple wins, set lap records, and finish the season as Type R Trophy Champion in his first year.

In 2023, selected appearances in the Britcar Trophy produced further strong results, including a win at Silverstone and a second-place finish at Brands Hatch. Alongside racing, Jake has become highly regarded for his work in driver coaching, helping aspiring and developing drivers improve both their pace and racecraft through his experience in sim and circuit racing.

His success continued in 2024, where opportunities in the Racing Hondas championship led to immediate results. Backed by Europa Crash Centre, Jake secured a win and second place finish in Round 10 before dominating Donington Park with victories in both Rounds 11 and 12. He rounded out the year with another win at Brands Hatch, continuing to demonstrate his consistency and ability to deliver under pressure.

Across the winter sim racing season, Jake added further titles to his name, including championship wins in both the ST150 Cup Sim Championship and the 750 Motor Club Sim Series, alongside several other victories across the off-season calendar. His ability to remain sharp and competitive across both disciplines continues to be a major strength.

During the 2025 Civic Cup season, Jake stepped up into one of the UK’s most competitive tin top championships and delivered an impressive campaign, securing multiple podium finishes and 6th place overall in the championship standings.

Now in 2026, Jake enters an exciting new chapter as he launches Jake Hewlett Racing, running his own programme in the Civic Cup. With the support of his main sponsors, Mill Street Motors and Europa Racing, this season marks the beginning of a new phase focused on building a strong independent team while continuing to fight at the front of the grid.

With proven championship wins, strong technical understanding, and success across both sim and circuit racing, Jake continues to establish himself as a serious name within UK motorsport.
